Premature ejaculation
Premature ejaculation (PE) is a health problem that negatively affects the sexual life of couples. The absence of a clear definition of the disease has posed an important obstacle in calculating its prevalence in the population.
It has been reported that premature ejaculation is 20-30% in general in all age groups. When males are divided according to age groups, it has been reported that it is seen at a rate of 31% between the ages of 18-40, 28% in the age group 40-50 and 55% in the age group 50-60.
In studies conducted according to the types of premature ejaculation, it was reported that lifetime PE was 2.3%, acquired PE 3.9%, variable PE 8.5% and premature ejaculation-like state was 5.1%.
